My Duolingo Max Account Has Been Hacked
I have been using my Duolingo account regularly for a long time, and until two days ago I could access it without any issues. On 22 July I realized that my account appears to have been taken over without my permission. I can no longer log in to my account, and when I try to reset my password, I receive the warning “There is no account registered with this email address” for my registered email address, which was previously “mirayt***[email protected]”. Through my second Duolingo account, I can still see my old account profile. However, I saw that the username and profile picture were changed without my consent, and it appears that this account has blocked me. I also noticed that the list of people I follow and my followers have been deleted, although my scores and progress in the lessons are still visible and unchanged. I did not make any of these changes. In addition, there was an active Duolingo Max subscription on this account at the time it was taken over, and we have now removed this stolen account from Max. I contacted Duolingo support about this situation but have not yet received any response. I kindly request that my original account be recovered and returned to me, that the unauthorized changes be reversed, including the follower and following lists, and that I be allowed to continue using my Duolingo Max subscription on my recovered account. I am not requesting a refund; I only want my original account to be restored. I kindly ask for this issue to be urgently investigated and resolved.
