I wanted to share with you the unfortunate incident that occurred on March 24th at the Dollar Rental Car branch in Dubai. I made a payment of $74.98 in USD for the damage insurance when I rented a car. However, Dollar unexpectedly charged me $88.74 USD when they processed the payment upon my auto return. I tried reaching out to customer service to seek clarification about an unexpected overcharge. Regrettably, it seems that Dollar's customer support is deliberately designed to avoid any form of "live" interaction, as many others have also observed. I attempted various approaches, yet I was unsuccessful in reaching a live rep. It is unacceptable that there is a lack of transparency and that customer concerns are disregarded. It is truly unfair to overcharge individuals and then create barriers to accessing customer service. I expect a refund for the amount that was overcharged. Dollar Rental Car's unethical business practices warrant appropriate consequences.
