DJI Drone Locked to an Inaccessible Apple Email Account After Reset
I own a DJI Lito X1 drone that I purchased from Vatan Bilgisayar, with the invoice issued in my name. After resetting my phone to factory settings, my device became software-locked to an old masked email address that I no longer have access to due to Apple’s “Hide My Email / Private Relay” infrastructure. During my discussions with Apple Support, I was clearly informed that these temporary masked email addresses are permanently removed from the system due to security architecture and that regaining access to them is technically impossible.
Although I am the first and only legal owner of the product and have provided my official purchase invoice and device serial number (1581FB 34C261B00373QP), the drone cannot be paired with another account and is effectively unusable due to the manufacturer’s strict software policies and the inability of the authorized sales/service channel to provide a solution. Since the device still appears to be linked only to an old account that I can no longer access, I am unable to actively use my drone.
I believe that a brand-new product with an official invoice issued in my name becoming unusable solely due to a software restriction constitutes a defective product and unusable service under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. Despite all of my good-faith attempts to communicate, DJI Global has not provided any concrete solution during approximately one week of correspondence.
My request is for the old account binding (“unbind”) to be removed through an authorized service or distributor system so that the drone can become usable again. If this cannot be technically achieved, I request a one-to-one replacement of the product or a full refund in accordance with my legal consumer rights.
