My Dell G16 Won’t Boot After BIOS Update – Repeated Repairs & Poor Support



I can’t believe the quality issues with the Dell G16. This laptop is only 9 months old, yet it has completely failed twice right after Dell’s own BIOS update. So far, the entire machine was replaced once, the motherboard twice, and the keyboard once—and they keep installing used, dusty parts instead of new replacements. Dell’s customer support is equally frustrating—agents just repeat scripted responses like parrots and refuse to take responsibility. They even blamed me for upgrading the RAM and SSD, even though I purchased it that way from Amazon (as reflected on my invoice). Their excuses are ridiculous—claiming keyboard backlighting issues were due to RAM and SSD changes! Meanwhile, they’re contradicting Dell’s own documentation by telling me to install software that isn’t even compatible with this model. I’ve trusted Dell for years, but this experience is beyond disappointing. Dell, fix this now!
