I just bought a Quechua brand camping chair from Decathlon that can hold up to 110 kg of weight. A friend of mine who weighs 135 kg mentioned it to me because he used it for 2 years without any problems. Even though it cost more than the other options at the chain shop, I trusted the name and bought it. I'm 90 kg, and no one else has sat in the chair before me. I made sure it didn't get wet and used it on a flat, dry surface. But after only two months, the metal parts of the chair bent, even though the cloth hadn't shown any signs of wear and tear. I took it to the Decathlon store in Mersin, where they tried to fix it first and then gave me a new one when that didn't work. But after 20 days, the same problem happened again, and when I asked to swap it for one made of stronger metal, they wanted to charge me the new price instead of the price I had paid before. This is an unfair way to price things. I didn't want to pay more, so I sent it back and got the same model, but after only 20 days, the metal parts bent again. When I went back to the store to return it again, a woman working there told me they couldn't do it again and that I should have bought the one made of harder metal when I bought it the first time. But the item I bought could hold up to 110 kg of weight, and I only weigh 90 kg. Decathlon's prices have gone up while the quality of their goods has gone down. This is not acceptable for a company with their name. The same chair costs 490 TL now, but I'm still using one I got from  a simple, cheap store for 159 TL. I feel like I've been lied to and let down by this.
