CVmaker Billed Me Without Approval or 3D Secure Verification
On December 20, 2025, I started using a service on CV Maker under a monthly membership that was advertised as a 14-day free trial.
Despite the fact that I did not give clear or explicit consent to switch to a paid subscription, $8 was charged to my card on December 26, 2025, without any 3D Secure verification. This transaction was not authorized by me and constitutes a completely unauthorized charge.
After this incident, I contacted the company via email. However, I received a generic response stating that “refunds are not available according to the terms,” and no meaningful solution was offered. As a result, I initiated a charge dispute through my bank.
I am requesting that this unauthorized charge, which was made without my explicit approval, be canceled and that the $8 withdrawn from my card be refunded to me as soon as possible.
