CV Maker Charged Me Without Consent — How to Get My Refund

On October 26, 2025, I made a one-time payment of $0 with my bank card on CV Maker to create a “Standard” résumé. However, at 9:39 a.m. on November 3, 2025, another $8 was withdrawn from my card without my consent or knowledge. When purchasing the service, there was absolutely no mention of any membership, subscription, or automatic payment. It was clearly stated that I would make only a one-time payment of about $1.

As soon as I noticed this, I contacted customer service. They rejected my refund request without any explanation, stating that refunds are not allowed under their terms. I do not have any membership or subscription, and I definitely did not authorize this charge. I informed them that I would file a complaint and requested their tax and business registration numbers, but received no response.

I request a refund of $8 for the unauthorized withdrawal and a formal apology for the inconvenience caused. I have already filed an official complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee regarding this matter, and if necessary, I will pursue legal action.
