My Columbia Shoes Squeak Loudly with Every Step on the Left Side

My spouse gifted me a pair of Columbia shoes, and while I was initially excited, that quickly turned into disappointment. From the very first wear, the left shoe started making loud squeaking noises with every single step—regardless of the type of flooring.

The sound is constant and distracting, making the shoes uncomfortable to wear in public or quiet settings. The right shoe is completely fine, which makes me think this is a manufacturing defect specific to the left one.
