Columbia Shoes Inner Lining Tears After 1.5 Months of Use

About four months ago, I purchased a pair of outdoor shoes from the Columbia store at İzmir Westpark Mall. After buying them, I didn’t use the shoes for about two months. Once I started wearing them, the inner lining tore within at most 1.5 months. Even though this is a brand I have trusted and preferred for years, experiencing such a problem in such a short time was very disappointing.
Believing this to be a manufacturing defect, I returned the shoes to the store for inspection before the holiday. However, after the review, my claim was rejected with no acceptable explanation—simply labeled as “user error.” The rejection document did not include any reference number or detailed information. I paid approximately $180 for these shoes, and I do not consider it acceptable for a product at this price level to have its inner lining tear within just 1.5 months.
Since my trust in this brand has been shaken, I no longer plan to shop from them. I do not want this issue to be dismissed as user error for what I believe is a defective product. I request that my shoes be re-evaluated and that a replacement be provided for this faulty item.
