Columbia Shoes Had Color Defect, Store Refused Refund for Outlet Purchase

We purchased a pair of Columbia sneakers from their store, but later noticed a color discrepancy when viewed in daylight. Since the shoes had not been used, we returned them to the store. Even though the color defect was evident and acknowledged by the store staff, they insisted on sending the product for inspection. Despite the clear defect, the inspection result was negative.
The store manager then discussed the issue with the regional manager and agreed to offer a replacement. However, when we requested the same model, it was no longer in stock. We asked for a refund, but they refused, stating that refunds are not available for outlet products. Unable to find a suitable alternative, we had no choice but to take the defective shoes back.
This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I expect Columbia to provide a refund for the defective product or ensure fair treatment for outlet purchases. Customers deserve better support for quality-related issues.
