I bought a makeup remover from Clinique and simply cannot get the cap open no matter what I try. It’s the press-and-turn type, but it doesn’t budge at all. I’ve tried everything—pressing harder, using a towel for grip, even asking others to help—but nothing works. And to make it worse, it’s not just frustrating, it actually hurts my hand. I’m genuinely shocked that a high-end brand like Clinique would use such an impractical and painful cap design.
Opening a cap should not be this difficult, especially on a product that’s meant for daily use. It shouldn’t take force or cause discomfort. I’m left wondering if I received a defective unit or if this is a common issue. If there’s a specific method to open it, Clinique should clearly state it on the packaging or in the product instructions.
If anyone else has experienced this and figured out a way to open it without hurting their hands, please share. And Clinique, please improve your packaging design or offer a replacement with a usable cap. I expect better from a brand at this price point.
