I own a 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 Avangard with only 2,300 km on it, and I'm already dealing with several widespread, known defects. I visited the authorized service center and handed over a detailed list of issues, some of which they addressed—but many are still unresolved.
Here’s a summary of what I’ve experienced:
Faded rear taillights – resolved.
Rattling from the panoramic roof – resolved.
Loose nut inside the tailgate causing noise – resolved.
Steering column joint noise – resolved.
Ongoing noise when turning the steering wheel – still not fixed after two visits.
Voice command feature not working – no solution.
Annoying noise when releasing the brake pedal – still unresolved.
Start-stop system malfunctioning, and although I was told over the phone that a software update exists, no action has been taken at the service center.
Worse yet, service staff told me “we ran diagnostics—no issues found”, and handed the car back like nothing was wrong. Are customers supposed to just be lying?
When I showed them the steering issue again upon delivery, they suddenly acknowledged the noise and said they’d now order a part. Why wasn’t this taken seriously in the first place?
They even left the stretch wrap on the steering wheel tossed inside the cabin, which shows a complete lack of care.
Chery, I spent nearly ₺2 million on this car. The way I’m being treated and the fact that you can’t resolve issues that can affect safety is deeply disappointing. I’m demanding immediate attention and real solutions—not vague excuses and dismissals. Respect your customers and stand behind your vehicles.
