I Fell Over a Broken Grating at Carrefour and Got Hurt
I fell very badly after tripping over the grating in front of the fish section at the Carrefour Hilltown Izmir store. I am experiencing severe pain in my hip and arm, yet no one in authority has addressed replacing that grating with a new one. Because of this situation, I am filing a complaint, as life safety at Carrefour is zero.

At the Carrefour SA Hilltown Shopping Mall, I tripped over the grate in the fish section and fell very badly. They called me because of my complaint, apologized, and asked questions like whether I went to the hospital, got examined, or received a report. Honestly, their way of speaking, as if interrogating me, annoyed me. I didn’t go to the hospital or want to get a report because I didn’t want to risk a deduction from my salary at work. But I wonder, what would have changed for Carrefour SA if I had gotten a report? Even though three days have passed since the incident, the same grate is still there. I guess they want others to get hurt or have accidents too. The responsible staff there said the occupational safety specialist comes once a month, so apparently that grate will stay like that for a month. Neither the occupational safety unit nor any official from Carrefour SA Hilltown Shopping Mall contacted me. Only a number starting with 0850 called and apologized, that’s it. Be careful at Carrefour SA Hilltown Shopping Mall, don’t fall in the fish section, because it’s still the same there.
