Canon Pixma G2470 Prints Faded Text Even After Repair
Shortly after purchasing our Canon Pixma G2470 tank printer, we started having trouble using it properly. The printer has an issue producing shadowy, faded text that we believe is coming from the print head on top, and the text doesn't print clearly. Even though the product was brand new, it started having problems after only a short period of use, and we've been dealing with this issue for almost a year now.
As soon as we noticed the problem, we contacted the brand/company, and after a great deal of effort on our part, company representatives finally agreed to send the product in for repair. However, when it came back from service, we found that the product had returned to us with the exact same defect, with no change whatsoever. Despite calling the brand's customer service multiple times, filing multiple requests, and repeatedly emailing them the information they asked for, no permanent solution was ever offered. Throughout this process, customer service kept asking us to resend the same documents — like the invoice — over and over again, even though they already had them, and no concrete solution or lasting repair was ever achieved.
The product was purchased through Amazon on December 25, 2023, with a 2-year warranty, and we have the invoice on file. We haven't been able to use the product effectively since shortly after purchasing it, and we believe we've been wronged by a defective product. What's more, the warranty period is set to expire toward the end of this year, and the problem still hasn't been resolved.
We're requesting that this defective Canon Pixma G2470 printer — which repair attempts have failed to fix — be urgently replaced, either with the same model or with a new printer where the issue is definitively resolved (for example, through a print head replacement), before the warranty period expires, so that this situation can be resolved as soon as possible.
