I Face Dangerous Skidding on My BYD Seal AWD Due to Continental EcoContact 6 Tires

I purchased a brand-new BYD Seal AWD in January 2025, and while I’m generally satisfied with the vehicle itself, the Continental EcoContact 6 tires it came equipped with are extremely unsafe, especially on wet roads. From day one, I’ve noticed that the car skids excessively, even at low speeds, when driving on mildly rainy or damp surfaces.
I reported the issue to the BYD dealership, but they insisted there’s nothing wrong with the car. However, I am absolutely convinced that the problem lies with the tires. The vehicle loses grip far too easily, making it feel unstable and unsafe. This has a direct negative impact on braking performance, and in slippery conditions, it’s nearly impossible to keep the car under control.
I trusted that a new car would come with high-quality, reliable tires — but these are clearly not suitable for real-world driving conditions. I am looking for a permanent solution, whether that means a tire replacement or a proper technical investigation by BYD and Continental.
Safety should never be compromised, especially on a newly purchased vehicle. I expect BYD to take this matter seriously and provide a resolution before this leads to an accident.
Progress
The brakes of the brand new car I bought do not inspire any confidence, whether on wet or dry surfaces. I went to the service center for the issue, which I initially thought was due to the tires. They said they constantly receive user complaints about vehicles of the same brand and model. They stated that they currently have no solution. The vehicle is a BYD Seal AWD model, and it is very surprising that such a fault exists in a car sold for 3,700,000 TL. Despite emailing the brand, I have not received any response. I will take official action to ensure that they provide a solution through replacement or proper repair.
