I Received My New BYD Seal Design with a Faulty Dashboard and Dangerous System Errors
I purchased a brand-new BYD Seal Design with high hopes, but within a very short time after delivery, the vehicle started exhibiting serious and dangerous malfunctions. While I was driving, the speedometer display suddenly shut off, and various electronic systems began to fail. To make matters worse, the vehicle started making abnormal noises, indicating deeper issues beyond the screen failure.
I immediately took the vehicle to an authorized BYD service center, where I was told that the display issue could take 30–45 days to fix. However, the car was returned to me without the problem being resolved and is still not functioning properly.
This isn't just a minor inconvenience — this is a safety hazard that compromises both the driver and passengers. Additionally, this ongoing issue has caused significant financial and emotional distress. Despite repeated follow-ups:
I was not provided with a replacement vehicle,
No offer was made for a vehicle exchange,
Costs like insurance, registration, window tinting, and a custom license plate are now wasted.
The dealership and distributor, @BydTurkiye and @aljpazarlama, have failed to fulfill their responsibilities under consumer protection laws regarding defective products. I have formally reported this issue to CİMER and the Turkish Ministry of Trade, initiating a legal complaint.
I demand an immediate replacement of the vehicle with a new, fully functional one and the provision of a substitute vehicle during the process. This is completely unacceptable for a brand-new car.
