Denied Refund by Budget Despite Unused Days

I recently rented a car from Budget. I made a reservation and paid with my credit card ahead of time. But my plans changed, and I had to bring the car back sooner than I had planned. I asked for a refund on the days I didn't use, but they said no. They said they could take the car back, but there would be no refund. I'm not sure if this goes against my rights as a consumer. I don't understand why this is happening, especially since I thought I could trust this company. Unfortunately, I was wrong, and I can't recommend renting a car from Budget in Turkey. As a customer, I think I should be able to get a refund for services I didn't get, and I'm disappointed that Budget car rental didn't do this.
