Brita Level Indicator Battery Is Stuck and I Cannot Find any Information Online

My Brita jug's indicator isn't working, despite the fact that I only recently purchased it from them. I'm not sure how much filter life is left, and the water is starting to taste strange. This was not what I expected from a new, long-lasting purchase. I'm at a loss for what to do, and I won't place my second order until this problem is resolved. I need to know how much time my filter has left on it, or else what's the point of having a jug in the first place? It's infuriating to have spent money on something that doesn't work properly.

I strictly follow Brita's cleaning guidelines and change the filters regularly, yet algae continue to build up in the reservoir. This is r...
