On May 12, 2021, we purchased a Bosch KGN57VW22N A+ 505-liter No-Frost refrigerator (Order No: 849 511 976) from the seller "Ergüder Ticaret" on the Hepsiburada website. The first malfunction occurred around September 6–15, 2021, and was caused by a power surge. It was considered under warranty and repaired by Bosch service through welding on the back panel. When we asked the technician whether a product replacement was possible due to this manufacturing defect, he said he would look into it but never got back to us. On August 26, 2022, the refrigerator’s cooling and freezing functions became insufficient, so we called the service again under warranty. The technicians fixed the issue and mentioned that if the problem recurred, the product might be replaced, as it could indicate a manufacturing defect—yet again, we received no official response. In June 2023, the refrigerator stopped working once more, causing our meat products to spoil. The service technician said the freon had run out and recharged the gas, which took about two hours. When we asked what to do about the recurring issues, we were advised to purchase extended warranty coverage. In February 2025, the refrigerator once again lost its freezing function, and we had to move our food to our neighbors’ homes to avoid spoilage. On February 28, 2025, Bosch service returned and repaired the device, but this time it was out of warranty and cost us ₺3000. However, despite only a month having passed, the refrigerator is once again malfunctioning and not cooling properly. The recurring issues strongly suggest a manufacturing defect. According to Turkish Consumer Law No. 6502, if the same fault occurs repeatedly, the consumer has the right to request a product replacement or a refund. Therefore, we request the replacement of this faulty refrigerator with a new unit and ask that this matter be urgently reviewed and a written response provided.
