My New Bosch 6-Program Dishwasher Smells Like Burning Plastic and Doesn’t Clean Well

My New Bosch 6-Program Dishwasher Smells Like Burning Plastic and Doesn’t Clean Well

I purchased a Bosch 6-program dishwasher just five days ago, and I already regret it deeply. From the very first use, the machine released an intense plastic odor that filled the house—we actually thought a wire was burning. We checked everything, but found no signs of damage. The smell became even stronger when the machine entered the drying phase and has not gone away, even after multiple full cycles.

That’s not the only issue. After the first wash, glasses and plates came out dirty and wet. The interior of the machine was covered in droplets, even after a long cycle. When I called Bosch service, they came on day two and told me:

“Yes, there’s a smell, but it will fade over time.”

“Water droplets are normal; this model doesn’t use a heating element.”

“The unwashed glass is probably from the night before.”

“Noise level is fine,” even though the machine measured well over 50-55 decibels.

When I called again to report the persistent smell, they repeated the same thing: "It will go away." But it hasn’t—and nothing in the manual or at the point of sale warned about this issue. They refused my return request, saying there's no technical fault.

Bosch, how can you expect customers to accept such a strong chemical smell, poor cleaning, and loud operation from a brand-new product? I trusted your name, and now I feel misled. I want to return this product immediately, and if necessary, I will take this case to Consumer Rights authorities. The burden is now on you.
