I purchased a Bosch Series 4 dishwasher on March 23, 2025, and immediately after installation by the authorized service team, I noticed a strong burnt plastic smell during the first wash cycle. The odor was so intense it filled the entire house, coming from the front control panel.
The technician assured me this was “normal” for first use, so I trusted Bosch and ran a second cycle—only for the same overpowering smell to return. It hasn’t faded with use; in fact, it’s gotten worse with every wash. This is clearly not normal.
I chose Bosch believing in its quality and reliability, but this appliance appears to be defective. A product emitting toxic-like fumes during regular use is unacceptable. Either Bosch must take the unit back, replace it with a new model (not the same one), or I will escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and pursue legal action if necessary.
No one in Türkiye can afford to throw away their hard-earned money. Bosch, you must resolve this immediately. I expect a prompt, serious response and a full resolution.
