Booking.com Failed to Fix Multiple Charges for One Pattaya Hotel Stay

January 3 9:50 AM32

During my stay between December 30 and January 4 at Base Pattaya in Pattaya, Thailand, which I booked through Booking.com, the same room was charged to my card three times within three-minute intervals. While the normal accommodation cost should have been approximately $828 USD, a total charge of about $2,714 USD appears on my card, meaning an extra charge of approximately $1,886 USD was taken.

Even though these transactions are clearly duplicate charges for the same room, both the hotel and Booking.com are claiming that there is “no issue” and are refusing to acknowledge the problem. I did not make any additional bookings, nor did I approve or authorize any extra reservations. Despite this, it appears as if three separate reservation charges were taken for the same room.

My request to Booking.com is that the entire excess amount of approximately $1,886 USD, which was charged multiple times for the same room, be refunded immediately, and that I be charged only the actual accommodation cost of approximately $828 USD. I also request a clear and written explanation regarding why these duplicate charges occurred.
