Bolt Driver Ended Trip Early, Swore At Us And I Left My Bag In The Car
On 3 December 2025 at around 18:38 I requested a Bolt car ride from Zama Zama tuckshop in Klipspruit, Soweto, South Africa, to 36905 Red Eye Street, Protea Glen, Soweto. We were two passengers in the car. The car was a Toyota Etios with registration number HJ52H***, the driver’s name was B*** and the owner’s name was X***. During the trip, the driver started complaining that we were making noise, even though we were simply coming back from a friend’s party. At approximately 18:59, before we arrived at our destination, the driver suddenly stopped the car and ended the trip in the app. He then started swearing at us, which made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe, so we got out of the car. About five minutes later, I realised that I had forgotten my green bag inside his car. I have not yet been able to reach the driver or Bolt support about this. I request that Bolt urgently assists me in retrieving my green bag from the driver and that the driver’s behaviour and conduct during this trip be reviewed, as his actions were unprofessional and unacceptable.
