I Face BMW F30 Door Handle Melting and Seal Cracking Issue

I Face BMW F30 Door Handle Melting and Seal Cracking Issue
April 13 2:53 PM24

I am the owner of a 2012 BMW 316i Modern Line (F30), and for some time I have been experiencing serious quality issues with the vehicle. The front windshield seal has started cracking and deteriorating, and the interior door handles have developed a melting, sticky texture. These problems create a very poor visual appearance and are completely inconsistent with the premium brand image that BMW represents.

During my research, I discovered that these issues are common in BMW F-series vehicles and that many customers have had these parts replaced free of charge under goodwill policies. Despite this, when I visited the Ankara Esenboğa Borusan authorized service center between February 1, 2026, and March 15, 2026, my concerns were not taken seriously. Instead, I encountered an arrogant and dismissive attitude, which I find unacceptable.

Although my vehicle is no longer under warranty, I strongly believe that such widespread and chronic manufacturing-related issues should not result in customer dissatisfaction or financial burden. It is neither fair nor consistent with BMW’s brand standards to demand payment for repairs that are widely recognized as defects and are resolved free of charge in other locations.

I kindly request that my case be reviewed, that the windshield seal and interior door handles be evaluated as part of this known issue, and that they be replaced free of charge. I also ask that the conduct and attitude of the staff at the Ankara Esenboğa Borusan authorized service center be investigated to ensure that other customers do not face similar treatment.
