I purchased an Asus VG27AQ5A monitor in Turkey on November 14, 2025, and from the very first day of use I have been experiencing random screen blackout issues on the desktop when the monitor is connected via DisplayPort 1.4. The screen suddenly goes black and then comes back, which seriously disrupts normal use. The monitor works stably for hours when connected via HDMI, and it is also stable when I force it to operate in DisplayPort 1.2 mode, meaning the blackout occurs only when DisplayPort 1.4 mode is enabled. Because the issue was clearly not resolved, I contacted Asus support and sent the monitor to the authorized service center twice, under RMA numbers TRB4TC0059 and TRB4W10327. Each time, the service center claimed that repairs were performed and parts were replaced, but after the monitor was returned to me, the same DisplayPort 1.4 blackout problem continued in exactly the same way. I also tested the monitor using different DisplayPort and HDMI cables, different ports, and different computers, and the blackout issue still occurs in DisplayPort 1.4 mode, proving that the problem is not caused by my cables or other devices. Despite multiple service attempts, the monitor still does not function properly and cannot be used reliably in the mode it is advertised to support. For this reason, I request that my monitor be replaced with a properly functioning equivalent or a brand-new unit, and I do not accept any further repair attempts for this defective product.
