I wanted to get my birth chart read on the Nebula website and made a one-time payment of $0.43. However, I never agreed to any membership, service terms, or a so-called “one-week free trial” that would then convert into a monthly subscription of $29. A few days ago, I discovered that $29 had been withdrawn from my bank account without my consent.
After reading messages on the complaint platformXolvie, where some users said Nebula had charged them multiple times, I immediately contacted my QNB (Enpara) bank. I explained my situation and how I was misled by this process.
Together with the bank representatives, we canceled the card I had used during the purchase to prevent further withdrawals. The transaction was still in the authorization stage, and customer service informed me that they would request a refund from Nebula on my behalf once the authorization was complete. They also said that if my claim that no valid subscription existed is confirmed and the company cannot prove otherwise, I should receive my refund within 30 to 200 days. So, I recommend that anyone in a similar situation inform their bank immediately.
I also logged into Nebula’s website and noticed an active monthly plan of $29.00 listed under “My Plans.” I took screenshots of everything, canceled the plan, and deleted my account. As I stated earlier, I never intentionally activated any recurring membership.
Afterward, I contacted Nebula’s support team and sent an email explaining that I did not agree to these terms, that I was prepared to take legal action, and that many other users in Turkey had experienced the same issue. Nebula replied:
“Although your case does not fall under our policies, we have re-evaluated it with our billing department and have issued a refund for your most recent transaction. Depending on your bank, the refund should appear in your account within 5–10 business days or be deducted from your outstanding balance.”
The 10 business days haven’t passed yet, but I wanted to share my experience here. If you’re facing a similar situation, make sure to contact both Nebula and your bank to dispute the charge.
