ASICS Gel-Kayano Heel Lining Tore Apart Within Months
In September 2025, I purchased a pair of ASICS Gel-Kayano running shoes from your online store, one of the brand’s highest-end premium models. However, despite using the product carefully and only under completely normal daily conditions, both shoes developed tearing and severe deterioration in the inner heel lining area within just 3–4 months.
It is absolutely unacceptable for a premium model, especially one known in the industry for durability and quality and sold at a high price point, to suffer this level of structural deformation in such a short period of time.
Although the product was still within the warranty period and I submitted it for inspection, I received a generic negative response stating that “no manufacturing defect was found” and that the issue was considered “user error.” The symmetrical tearing in the inner heel sections of both shoes is clearly not the result of misuse, but rather a material-quality issue or a chronic design/manufacturing defect. A shoe exposed to nothing beyond ordinary daily use should not fall apart in this area unless there is a serious issue with the product’s material durability and lifespan.
The fact that a well-established brand like ASICS would treat a loyal customer this way and fail to stand behind a defective product has completely damaged my trust in the brand.
I request that my case be carefully reconsidered within the scope of customer satisfaction principles and Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, and that the product be replaced with an equivalent new pair.
I kindly ask for my inconvenience and financial loss to be resolved urgently.
