Arçelik Sold Me the 278550 Model but the Freezer Drawer Barely Opens

When the 278550 handheld cabinet we purchased from the Arçelik dealer was delivered, we realized the freezer drawer could barely open even a foot. Since we had looked at so many models before buying, we didn’t expect such limited functionality and assumed this was a design flaw. A service technician came, checked it, and simply said the drawers only open that much, then left. Despite calling both customer service and the dealer multiple times, no solution has been offered, and we’ve been stalled for 12 days. We don’t want any of Arçelik’s bottom-freezer models—just a replacement with the 578590 handheld model, which has a top freezer and no drawers. We’re willing to pay the price difference if needed.

Customer service is not helpful at all. I advise you not to buy home appliances from the authorized dealer itself because you have no legal right to return them, whereas if you buy home appliances online, you have the right to return them within 14 days. Customer service directly stated this. Therefore, stay away from Arçelik refrigerators. The freezer drawers open 10 cm at the top (from the lid protrusion) and 11 cm at the bottom. There is a design flaw; if they had put rails, this wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, we are stuck with this unusable refrigerator.

We complained to the Consumer Arbitration Board and they ruled in favor of the company; the consumer is always wrong. As I wrote, if you buy a defective product from a physical store you have no right to exchange or return it. Buy it online and forget about Arçelik.
