Arçelik Reduced My Warranty by One Year Because Installation Was Delayed
I purchased a refrigerator, washing machine, and dishwasher from Arçelik. Two of the items were delivered to me on May 20, 2022, and the third on May 23, 2022; however, the boxes were not opened, nor were the products installed. Despite the fact that installation was carried out almost a year later, on May 9, 2023, and the technical forms from 2022 state only that the products were shipped, the installation date is incorrectly recorded as the delivery date for all items. As a result, my warranty, which should end in May 2026, now shows as ending in May 2025. When I purchased these products, I was told the warranty period would begin from the date of installation. Yet now, a full year is being deducted from my warranty just because the installation wasn't done earlier. When I contacted customer service back in May 2022 to explain that delivery had occurred but installation had not, and that the form only mentioned transportation, I was told they would investigate and get back to me. It has been three years, and I have not received any follow-up. Why should my warranty be reduced for a product that wasn’t even installed? I want this issue resolved as soon as possible.
