Arçelik Deep Freezer Broke Due to Design and Corrosion Issues After Warranty Ended

The Arçelik brand 207c MB model deep freezer with serial number 20-112267-03, which I purchased in 2020, broke down one year after the warranty expired. I called the authorized service, and they demanded ₺9500 for repairs. We refused the offer because we identified both design and corrosion defects in the product. There are two manufacturing faults: first, the gas pipes were mounted on top of the gas hose at the back of the unit; second, the gas pipes were corroded and rusted. The service technician confirmed that these issues caused the malfunction. After examining new deep freezer models, we noticed that this faulty design had been corrected, with gas hoses moved inside the unit. Despite these clear defects, our claims to Arçelik were rejected. While products like TVs and home appliances have a defined lifespan, the end of the warranty does not absolve the manufacturer. The expected lifespan for such products is set at 10 years.

No one has contacted me and my problem has not been resolved.
