Apple sends me a bill despite the fact that I no longer have an active account

The iPhone 13 Pro Max, which I bought between August and September of 2022, is currently in someone else's possession. Since October 15, 2022, I've been using a Samsung S22 Ultra. I called Apple and was assured that my account had been closed, but I continue to receive invoices for the device even after canceling the service. I need your help canceling the account while I figure out what to do. This is very inconvenient, so if you could lend a hand in getting this resolved, that would be great. For your kindness, please accept my gratitude.
