I encountered an unexpected $27.83 charge while using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Simple Email Service (SES). As I was operating in sandbox mode, I believed the service was entirely free. There was no upfront notification about potential charges, which is misleading. Adding to the frustration, my request to exit sandbox mode for additional usage was denied, yet I was still charged for a service I couldn’t fully access.

AWS’s lack of clear communication regarding billing policies and their practice of issuing charges without granting full access to the service is unfair and frustrating. I demand an immediate explanation and a resolution to this issue, including a refund for the unwarranted charges. This situation needs to be addressed promptly to prevent further customer dissatisfaction.
