I Ordered a Memory Card on AliExpress But Received a USB

On May 12, 2025, I ordered a memory card from AliExpress. About 15 days later, I received the package—only to find that the seller had sent a USB flash drive instead. When I contacted AliExpress customer service, communication was nearly impossible. They were using a poor translation tool, responding to my English messages with broken Turkish, and making everything worse.

The item cost only ₺5, but shipping and taxes totaled ₺360. When I explained the issue, support told me to “return the product through any shipping company and we’ll refund you.” But shipping the incorrect product back would cost more than the item itself! I requested a direct refund due to the seller’s mistake, but they refused—insisting I return the wrong item first.

This experience felt like a comedy of errors. AliExpress allowed a seller to mislead buyers by advertising a memory card and sending something entirely different. Then they pushed all responsibility onto me. How is this fair? There’s no return label, no clear tracking system, and support is completely broken.

For a site doing business in Turkey, it’s unacceptable not to offer proper Turkish customer service. I’ll be pursuing this through legal channels. Buyers beware.

Attention for those who will shop on Aliexpress! During purchases through the company, they send the wrong product and then do not take the product back.
