Alamo Rent A Car damaged my rental without proof – how can I contest it?

Send an email to Alamo's Damage Recovery Unit right away to dispute liability and ask for proof, such as condition reports for when you checked in and out, photos with timestamps, and a repair quote or invoice that is linked to your rental/file number.

If you saw damage that was there before you rented or have your own pictures or videos, send them to the branch and ask for their records. Question the chain of custody between rentals. In real life, persistent claims can be dropped even if they are not true.

Check your contract and any CDW or credit card coverage, and file a claim right away—waiting can mean you don't get any benefits. Send the rental agreement, a letter of harm, and some pictures.
