Unauthorized Transaction On Credit Card Without SMS Code
On October 6, 2025, at 10:55 a.m., ₺19,999 was withdrawn from my Akbank credit card (moka united/ıtx turke), followed by two additional unauthorized transactions at 10:58 a.m. for ₺498 and ₺1 (plan Exxen), totaling ₺20,498. These transactions were made without my knowledge, and I never received any verification code or SMS approval. Within five minutes, I called Akbank to report that the transactions were not mine, as they were still in the authorization stage, and I requested their cancellation. I also submitted a spending dispute via the mobile app and visited the branch the same day to report the issue. My card was canceled, and a new one was issued. However, the total amount still appeared on my statement, and I was forced to pay it. I contacted Moka United, who confirmed they are a payment processor and said a refund request would be initiated. Despite this, I have not received any response from Akbank for over a month. I have all the bank correspondence and receipts as evidence. There are thousands of people who have experienced similar issues, and I demand that this security vulnerability be investigated seriously. I request a full refund of the withdrawn amount, a thorough investigation of the breach, and a prompt resolution of my situation with an official statement.
