My Card Was Charged Without Permission and No Help Was Provided
On August 11, an unauthorized charge of ₺1,459.99 was made to my card, linked to my Tokat Merkez Branch account through the Akbank mobile application, in the name of “YDS Google wu zeyuan.” According to information I received from customer service, this transaction was attempted 2-3 times, yet I was never informed. Even though the verification code feature for online shopping was active on my card, this security step was never triggered. My money was blatantly stolen, and the lack of attention from customer service has further added to my grievance. As soon as I noticed the issue, I called customer service, but all they did was block my card and tell me to call again in the morning. No dispute form was created, no investigation was initiated, and my grievance remains unresolved. I have experienced a similar issue with Akbank before, and its recurrence has seriously damaged my trust. I request an investigation into this unauthorized charge, full compensation for my loss, and a refund of the amount. I also expect the security vulnerabilities to be investigated and a detailed explanation provided to me.
