Akbank Allowed Unauthorized Withdrawals and Credit Card Charges Without Notifying Me
On September 22, 2024, around 11:00 PM, two unauthorized withdrawals were made from my Akbank checking account—one for ₺5000 and another for around ₺4800. Additionally, I noticed three unauthorized charges on my Akbank credit card: ₺5000, around ₺4800, and over ₺10,800. Upon realizing this, I immediately contacted Akbank customer service and had my account and card blocked. I trust Akbank with my money and choose to work with you, yet someone else was able to withdraw money from my account and make purchases with my credit card without my knowledge. How is this possible under your security measures? How can five transactions, all similar, go through without triggering any suspicious activity alerts in your system? I urgently request the return of the money withdrawn from my account and the charges made on my credit card. It's become clear that Akbank’s security is not as reliable as I once thought.
