On 08.08.2025, a total of 61,000 TL worth of purchases were made from my Akbank account through an international Media Markt without my knowledge. As soon as I noticed the transaction, I immediately contacted Akbank customer service, took all necessary security measures, and filed an objection stating that I did not make the transaction. However, my objection was rejected and I would like to specifically state that the explanation provided to me is not correct. I did not share the code I received with anyone, and in fact, I saw that such a message arrived only after 10 days had passed.
I do not accept being held responsible for this transaction in which I had no involvement. I request that this grievance, which was caused by the bank's security vulnerability, be resolved and that the withdrawn amount be refunded to me.
