I have been victimized due to Akbank’s security vulnerability, and the bank refuses to take responsibility! On 10.02.2025, a total of ₺196,283.05 in credit and cash advance (Artı Para) was taken from my Akbank account, which I have not used for a year and do not even have a credit card linked to. Fraudsters then transferred this money without my knowledge. On 09.02.2025, I only viewed the details of a campaign on the Akbank mobile app but did not apply for it. The next day, someone claiming to be from Akbank called me, mentioning the exact campaign I had checked and falsely stating that I had applied! How did this person know I viewed the campaign? How were my customer details leaked? At 12:12 PM, I received a message saying "A new device has logged in", and despite not providing my information, Akbank allowed access to my mobile banking without any extra security measures! At 2:02 PM, ₺149,012.80 was transferred via EFT, followed by another ₺47,270.25 loan withdrawal, all sent to other accounts! Akbank is responsible for detecting and stopping suspicious transactions, but no security checks were made! I filed a complaint on 10.02.2025 (Case No: 8023990711), but on 17.02.2025, I was merely told to fill out a "Transaction Dispute Form," which only applies to credit card transactions! When I was instructed to submit my complaint via email, my email was rejected with the response "We do not accept complaints via email." According to Banking Law No. 5411, banks are legally obligated to protect customer accounts, yet Akbank has failed to fulfill this duty! I demand the cancellation of all unauthorized transactions, an explanation of how my personal data was leaked, and real solutions instead of being misled! If my issue is not resolved, I will take legal action and initiate all necessary legal proceedings!
