Business Travelers - Avoid AJet

I flew with AJet today, 2 May, on the London Stansted – Istanbul route and had a very disappointing experience that makes me reluctant to recommend the airline, especially for business travel. Although I had purchased a cabin luggage allowance, I was not allowed to carry a standard-sized backpack in addition to my cabin suitcase. The cabin baggage policy was extremely restrictive and unclear, and there was no option to add an extra hand luggage item, which is very impractical for passengers who need to travel with both a small suitcase and a backpack. Because of this, I was effectively forced to check in one of my items at the airport at an additional cost of around €50. This felt unnecessarily rigid and poorly thought through, particularly for business travellers who typically carry laptops and essential items in a backpack that they want to keep with them in the cabin. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff, who were unhelpful and showed no flexibility. Their responses felt dismissive rather than solution‑oriented, and there was no attempt to find a reasonable compromise or even clearly explain the logic behind the policy. Overall, the experience was frustrating and not in line with what I would expect from a modern airline. With reservation number 43frsb, I request that AJet review its cabin baggage policy and its implementation on this route, and that the additional amount I had to pay at the airport be refunded, or that fair alternative compensation be offered.
