Ajet Charged Me for Baggage Despite Following Allowance and Online Purchase

On our return flight from London to Istanbul, we had an allowance of 20 kg for a large suitcase and 8 kg for cabin baggage per person. However, our cabin bags were not considered as cabin baggage and were placed in the aircraft hold. Because of this, it was assumed that we had a total baggage allowance of 40 kg, and we were informed that we had exceeded this by 26 kg. When we requested to retrieve our baggage and adjust the weight distribution, Ajet told that this was not possible, and our passports were withheld. Despite having already purchased an additional 10 kg of baggage online, I was charged £260 at a rate of £10 per kg. When I expressed my intention to purchase extra baggage allowance online, I was told that I had to pay at the airport instead. As a passenger, I have been seriously inconvenienced and forced to make an excessive payment.
