On August 2, 2025, I booked a property in Sarande, Albania through Airbnb (Reservation Code: HMZ42TWS4T) for ₺7.701,31 using my Ziraat Bank card. The listing’s location was incorrect, which made it impossible to find. I tried contacting the host but received no response. I immediately reported the issue to Airbnb support, but they also could not reach the host, and my reservation was eventually canceled. Since no alternative property was available at the time, I was left without accommodation.
I requested a refund to my card. Airbnb customer service initially told me I would receive it within 72 hours, yet seven days later, nothing had been refunded. Now, they claim they will only issue the amount as Airbnb credit, not as a direct card refund. The alternative accommodations they suggested were significantly more expensive, so I could not accept them.
I demand that Airbnb process a full refund of ₺7.701,31 directly to my card rather than issuing credit. I also urge the company to verify listing locations and host responsiveness to prevent other customers from experiencing the same inconvenience.
