We stayed at an Airbnb that was below our expectations, so after returning, I left an honest review expressing our thoughts. Shortly after, the host demanded money from us for supposedly leaving the room messy. This only happened because we shared the truth in the review. There was no trash bin in the room, and since it was a terrace room, we left tied-up trash bags on the terrace. The host then spread the trash around, took photos, and uploaded them to Airbnb to claim extra money from us. It feels like a joke! If that’s the case, hosts could do the same with any guest and demand extra money. How can this be proven? It’s absurd that Airbnb allows such behavior from hosts. They should work with more reasonable people!
