I purchased a 15-day, $9.50 internet package for Turkey through the Airalo app using my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I made the purchase while in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and took a photo of the QR code for setup.
When I arrived in Istanbul at 9:30 a.m. yesterday, I tried to open the Airalo app, but I kept receiving a “TLS error” message and couldn’t access any apps or data. I hadn’t updated my phone at that time, so I performed a software update and tried again—but the Airalo app still wouldn’t open, and I couldn’t use the internet at all.
I’ve used Airalo before without any problems, but this time, no matter how many times I tried, the app simply wouldn’t launch. I attempted to contact customer support, but since the system required a Turkish phone number, I wasn’t able to get assistance. I also tried to scan the QR code again and set up the eSIM using a Wi-Fi connection, but it didn’t work.
I’m still in Turkey and will be here for about ten more days, but I haven’t been able to use the internet package I paid for. I kindly request that this issue be resolved immediately, or that the unused package fee be refunded to me.
