Money Stolen from Luggage on Air Albania Flight ZB 1003
On September 6, 2024, I flew with Air Albania on flight ZB 1003 from Tirana to Istanbul, departing at 22:20. Upon arriving at the airport in Istanbul, I opened my suitcase and discovered that ₺2500, which I had hidden in a wallet among my clothes, was missing. I picked up my luggage from the baggage belt and noticed the money was gone while preparing to pay for a taxi. We reviewed all airport security footage with the police, and there was no sign of anyone tampering with my luggage at Istanbul Airport. It appears that my money was stolen by Air Albania staff before the luggage reached Istanbul. The police informed me that since the issue was discovered after leaving the customs area, the airline would not take responsibility. I am unsure how to proceed, but fortunately, I had some cash on hand to make it home.
