I Booked a Breakfast-Included Agoda Hotel but It Wasn’t Honored or Fixed
I booked a stay through Agoda at Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel in Malaysia for May 10–16, 2025. We are still staying at the hotel, and despite repeatedly raising the issue since check-in, we have gotten no resolution. When I made the reservation, it clearly stated “breakfast included”—yet that information was not registered in the final booking, and the hotel refuses to provide breakfast without additional payment.
We’ve spoken to hotel management multiple times, and we also emailed Agoda directly. Neither party has taken any responsibility. We’ve spent days of our vacation going back and forth over something that should have been honored from the beginning.
It’s extremely frustrating that the details shown at booking don’t match what’s delivered upon arrival. Agoda’s failure to record the breakfast inclusion and the hotel’s unwillingness to accommodate us has made this experience stressful, especially for us as two elderly guests aged 68 and 72.
I demand Agoda immediately acknowledge this issue, coordinate with the hotel, and either reimburse the breakfast charges or apply the correct benefit to the remainder of our stay. We should not have to fight for what was clearly advertised.
