I made a hotel reservation in Istanbul through the Agoda app for the dates December 19–21, paying a total of $63 USD. I completed the payment with my card through the app, and my reservation number is 607959547.
I made the reservation about two days ago. Today, the hotel contacted me and stated that the price shown in the system was “incorrect” and that I needed to cancel the reservation. In other words, the hotel is refusing to honor the reservation and the price I paid through Agoda.
During this process, I tried multiple times to contact Agoda through the app and every channel I could find, but I was unable to locate any customer service phone number, email address, or reachable support channel. I have not been able to explain my situation to anyone. This not only caused inconvenience but has also seriously undermined my trust in the prices displayed on Agoda.
I request that my paid reservation be considered valid at the price I saw and approved in the app, and that my stay be confirmed accordingly. After this experience, I want to state that I no longer trust the prices shown on Agoda and feel that I cannot rely on any price displayed in the app going forward. I ask Agoda to intervene promptly, resolve my issue, and provide me with a clear written response.
