Agoda Booking Refund Issue – Payment Not Returned Despite Confirmation

For our trip to a Greek island, we booked accommodations through Agoda.com from October 16–21, 2024, based on a friend's recommendation. We paid the full amount upfront before check-in. However, our stay was marred by constant noise throughout the night and uncomfortable beds. By 10 AM the following day, we requested to shorten our reservation to one night due to these issues. The hotel initially resisted but eventually revised the booking through Agoda after we detailed our complaints.

Despite this adjustment, I have yet to receive my refund from Agoda. They claimed the case was closed and suggested I contact my bank regarding the refund. My bank confirmed no refund was issued. Agoda has not provided any evidence of refund processing, nor do they respond to my follow-ups, other than sending an email asking for "understanding" and stating they would not reply further.

This lack of accountability is unacceptable. Agoda offers no customer service or proper point of contact for issues like this. I urgently demand my refund be processed immediately and caution others against using this platform for bookings.
