If AddCar charged unexpected fees on pickup and you want to dispute the extra charges;
Check what you were originally charged;
• Look at your booking confirmation/invoice
• Note:
– Daily rate
– Included extras (insurance, mileage, etc.)
• Screenshot the original price and terms
Identify the unexpected fees;
• On the pickup receipt, note each extra charge:
– “Administrative fee”
– Fuel charges
– Insurance add-ons
– Damage protection
– GPS / extras
• Screenshot the pickup invoice showing fees
Compare against what was promised;
• Mark which fees were not disclosed before pickup
• Note any verbal promises (if you were told something different)
Contact AddCar support immediately;
• State clearly:
– You were charged fees that were not disclosed at booking
• Provide:
– Booking reference
– Original invoice
– Pickup invoice with fees
• Ask them to:
– Explain each charge
– Remove the unauthorized fees
– Refund the extra amount
If it still isn’t fixed;
Consider posting a complaint on Xolvie to push for resolution.
