Zara's False Promise of Exchange and Refund for Defective Product

I made a purchase from Zara's online store with order number 52635932889, only to find that the product was defective. I tried to exchange the product at the store but was told that they could only take it back. I then reached out to Zara's customer service, where I was promised that a file would be opened and I would be able to exchange the product or receive a refund for the difference. However, after delivering the product back to the store and going through the examination process, I was shocked to find out that Zara was now saying they couldn't refund me because I had purchased the product from a store instead of the website. This complete contradiction in their promise and policy is extremely disheartening and shows a lack of consistency and communication within the company. I am deeply disappointed by the false promise and double game that Zara has played with their customer service, and I would advise others to think twice before making a purchase from their website or store.
